This place is an underrated gem. Ugh the breaded and grilled shrimp are amazing! My family loved the whole fried fish. Can’t wait to go back.
Delicious and huge oysters! For the quality and size, 12 for $30 USD was a pretty good deal. A must visit if you’re visiting El Zonte or El Tunco! Free parking is available across the street
Great service staff are great, and the owner is very humble. Food and prices are great. The experience of eating while sitting in the middle of the river is unbelievable
Somehow with such great food and great service this place is still a whole in the wall. While the look may be deceiving I’m so glad I came in. This place is awesome. The owner makes you feel welcome all the time. You have the option to eat by the creek . You can see how they open fresh oysters and clams.
Amazing Oysters best around and the service was unparalleled. The owner/manager is fantastic - I highly recommend and will definitely be back. Just make sure to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted.
Great place for seafood. The shrimp in garlic sauce were prefect. They have outside sitting by the river which is nice on a hot day. The owner Chepe was extremely nice and happy to have he’s guest there. I would 100% come back and eat at Chepe’s place.
A true hidden gem! I honestly wasn’t expecting Ostrero Chepe Aleta to meet my standards—but wow, was I blown away. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. Our waiter, Carlos, was incredible—patient, attentive, and full of charisma. He truly brought the experience together. We ordered 3 red snappers and the black conchas, and every dish was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors, the freshness—unreal. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Chepe, who was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. Even on a Tuesday, the place was packed—and it’s easy to see why. Between the food, the service, and the staff, this spot has it all. I will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know!
